Using the Guide to Emergency Preparedness for Orientation

One of the great benefits the Guide to Emergency Preparedness™ offers is the ability for anyone in your organization who has access to the guide to be able to quickly and easily identify how to respond to an emergency. When a code is called you want to be certain that all nurses know what they should do.

Introduce staff members to the guides during orientation. Have some extra guides to pass out during orientations to ensure everyone has one to look at. Review the contents and let them know where they can find guides in each unit.
